Beginner’s Thai Carving Class in Vancouver
A couple of weeks ago, I was in Vancouver holding a beginner’s Thai carving class over two days on a weekend. Generally, I require 4-8 students per group class, but this time I had 3 new students who were available on the same schedule.
We learned basic techniques, such as how to hold the knife properly, preparation, handling and care of your creations, and also some watermelon and fruit and vegetable carving flower and leaf skills. Here is one of my students with his final carved platter, a mixture of carrots, cucumber, jicama, watermelon and pineapple!
