Custard Pumpkin Pie Carving
Today I decided to try something a little different and carved some carrot and papaya into flowers while taking on some baking! Although pumpkin pie is quite common, I decided to change things up a bit and make an edible carving out of the pumpkin as well.
Just find your favourite custard recipe and put it together to fill out a pumpkin that has its contents emptied out and line it with carvings! Bake the custard after the carving had been completed, and then enjoy the entire edible pie, altogether.
My custard recipe was made of the following:
4 eggs
1 cup coconut milk
1 cup sugar
2 tbsp vanilla
Mix well and pour in carved pumpkin and steam for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
Another creative way to enjoy this squash-like fruit, and have a little something for that sweet-tooth. Tasty and delicious!
