Vodka Watermelon, Anyone?

It was my son’s birthday last weekend, and in order to help him celebrate, I quickly carved up a watermelon to bring for all the guests to have after dinner. The twist? I poured half of a bottle of Grey Goose vodka into it a couple of hours before serving.

We brought out the cake and and sang Happy Birthday, and once he made a wish and blew out the candles, we made sure that everyone took a share of watermelon scoops to enjoy with their dessert.

As you can imagine, everyone had a great time, and some now don’t even remember it. My daughter even went around the room and ensured that no one had to miss out with a little hand-feeding spree.
